Risk, Resilience & Cybersecurity

Resilience is a board decision made long before any incident.

We help boards decide how much risk the enterprise will carry, then build the governance, controls and recovery capability that hold that line while transformation moves at pace.

01The challenge

The attack surface grows with every step of transformation.

Each new platform, integration, cloud workload and data flow widens the perimeter an organization must defend. Regulatory expectations have sharpened at the same time. The NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls, the Personal Data Protection Law and sector regulators’ own requirements now sit on the board agenda, and accountability for them rests with executives as much as with the security team.

The usual response is fragmented. Governance, risk, compliance, security and continuity each keep their own owners, frameworks and reports, and none gives leadership a single view of exposure. Controls are assessed periodically and drift in between. The strongest organizations run resilience as an operating discipline: risk appetite set at the top, controls built into architecture and delivery, and recovery rehearsed before it is needed.

02Our approach

How we make the enterprise defensible.

  1. Risk appetite owned by the board

We turn the board’s risk appetite into limits executives can apply to everyday decisions, from a supplier contract to a cloud migration. Committee structures and accountability are adjusted so exposure reaches the board in time to act, and oversight keeps pace with change.

  2. Protection designed in

We place security architects inside the teams designing cloud, data and application changes, so controls arrive with the design. A security strategy anchored in NCA requirements sets the order in which maturity is raised, starting where a breach would do the most harm.

  3. Recovery rehearsed for the services that matter

We start from the services that customers, citizens or markets would miss first, and trace the people, systems and suppliers each one depends on. Recovery plans are then tested in realistic exercises, so executives see how the organization performs under stress before an incident shows them.

  4. Gaps closed in order of regulatory risk

We assess the organization against national cybersecurity controls, data protection obligations and sector rules the way a regulator would, then rank each gap by its consequence. Remediation starts where exposure is highest, so the budget closes the gaps that matter before the ones that are merely easy.

  5. One model for risk and compliance

We map overlapping obligations onto a single set of controls, so one control can satisfy several regulators and be tested once. Platforms replace spreadsheets with live evidence, and compliance becomes a continuous activity with named owners.

03Outcomes

What the board can rely on.

  • One view of exposure

Leadership sees risk, compliance and cyber posture in a single picture, tied to the services and assets the organization cannot afford to lose.

  • Obligations with owners

Each regulatory obligation maps to controls and a named owner, and the evidence is ready before the auditor asks.

  • Security by design

Protection is built into new platforms and programs from the first design decision, avoiding costly retrofits later.

  • A practiced response

Critical services have tested recovery plans, and executives have already worked through the decisions a disruption would demand.

04Our perspective

Every transformation decision is also a risk decision.

We bring risk, resilience and cybersecurity into a program at the first design choice, where they cost least and shape most. Leaders who trust their controls approve bolder programs, adopt new platforms sooner and meet regulators from a position of strength. Our work earns that trust with evidence, and leaves it owned inside the organization.
