Data governance, ownership and quality

Data Governance 360

Data with an owner, a standard and a score.

Data Governance 360 is GTech’s data office, run as the entity’s Data Management Office. It organizes data into domains with named owners, runs the national data management standards every Saudi entity already follows, fixes data quality at the source and keeps compliance and certification on track.

Highlights

  • Built on the national data management standards
  • Every data domain with a named owner and steward
  • Quality issues fixed at the source, compliance tracked

01The challenge

Everyone uses the data; nobody owns it.

Data sits in every system and every department, and each keeps its own version. Reports disagree, quality problems are corrected by hand at the end of the chain, and the same questions about the same figures come back every month.

At the same time, the national data management standards ask every entity to show governance, ownership, quality and protection across many domains, with evidence. Meeting them takes an office that runs data governance every day, not a project that ends with a policy.

02What the office does

Governance, ownership and quality in one office.

Data Governance 360 makes data governance a working routine with clear accountability.

  • Domains and owners

Data organized into domains, each with a named owner and stewards who answer for its definitions and quality.

  • Standards compliance

The national data management standards translated into controls, evidence and a compliance view by domain.

  • Data quality

Quality rules on critical data, issues traced to their source system and fixed there, not in the report.

  • Catalogue and definitions

One business glossary and catalogue, so every figure means the same thing everywhere.

  • Protection and sharing

Classification, privacy and data sharing agreements handled in line with national rules.

03How it starts

Stood up with your team, then run by it.

  1. Assess

Measure the current state against the national standards and find the domains that matter most.

  2. Organize

Appoint owners and stewards, set up the data council and agree the operating rhythm.

  3. Operate

Run quality, catalogue and compliance on priority domains, with evidence kept as the work is done.

  4. Transfer

GTech runs the office alongside your team until your people run it on their own.

04Why it pays

Data the organization can rely on.

  • Ready for assessment

Compliance evidence is gathered as the office works, not assembled the week before a review.

  • One version of the truth

Agreed definitions and owners end the arguments over whose figure is right.

  • Quality at the source

Fixing data where it is created removes the manual correction downstream.

  • Connected to the command center

Standards compliance, data owners, quality issues and certification status flow into ECC 360 and HECC 360, and critical data issues open actions fixed at the source.

05Editions

Built for the entity it serves.

The office carries the standards and priorities of its sector.

  • Government and public sector

For ministries, authorities and agencies meeting the national data management standards across every domain.

  • Healthcare

For health groups, where the Data Management Office run on Data Governance 360 is also the platform owner of HECC 360 and certifies the data it runs on.

  • Financial services

For banks and insurers adding data lineage and regulatory reporting quality to the office’s scope.
